Company "Soravia invest", the daughter company of Austrian "Soravia" group, offered yesterday (February 14, 2007) 35.05m EUR for the building of the Federal Ministry of Internal Affairs in Kneza Miloša Street. The second participant in the tender, "Privateproject management" offered about 500,000 EUR less - 34.5m EUR.

In the third round of the sale of this building, which was destroyed in the NATO bombing, only two bids arrived. Both participants competed on the previous tender, which was cancelled due to lack of required banking guarantees.

According to the announcement on the occasion of public opening of the bids in the REpublic Directorate for PRoperty, both bidders this time delivered the guarantees of the banks with well-known rating, of which credit worthiness, if the need for that arises, will be evaluated by the National Bank of Serbia.

IT is interesting that the best bidder, "Soravia invest", offered nearly 4m EUR more for the ownership of this complex than on the previous tender. Public opening of the offers took place in the presence of Hano Soravia, the co-owner of Austrian "Soravia" group.
