"Crvena zvezda" and "Partizan" will be able to have their sports complexes renovated already in summer. Until that time, according to the head architect of city of Belgrade, Đorđe Bobić, the detailed regulation plans for both areas will be adopted, so that there will be no obstacles that the building permits be issued for all projects and works.
- The initiative that the plans be drawn for the complexes of "Zvezda" and "Partizan" was started one year ago and these documents have been finished recently and they have been granted by the plan commission - says Bobić.
The plan implies organization of the stadiums, construction of smaller sports hotels and related office space.
According to the earlier announcements, "Partizan" intends to have the existing stadium torn down and to have the new one built on the same location. Also, a new sports hall and two-level underground parking lot should be built next to the new stadium. The tennis club would get ten tennis courts. Also, a trade center with big number of outlets should be built at the first floor.
"Zvezda" also plans construction of a new stadium, sports hall, trade and business center, underground garage and hotel. Certain Austria investment fund is mentioned as an investment partner for these projects.
