New four-star hotel in downtown Belgrade - 88 Rooms in Takovska Street to receive first guests in mid-February (PHOTO)

In mid February, the MK Mountain Resort will open a four-star hotel in Belgrade. This hotel, 88 Rooms, is located in Takovska Street, at the location of former Takovo center where business premises used to be. The hotel will have seven floors and occupy 3,000 square meters.

As the name says, the guests will have 88 rooms and suites at their disposal. MK announces that the hotel will have a conference space and a rooftop restaurant on the top floor with a beautiful view of Belgrade and the banks of the Danube.

- The hotel will be equipped in line with the standards for four-star hotels. Interior will have modern design, light and comfortable environment as well as the most modern equipment for work and digital communication - Nikola Avram, general manager at MK Mountain Resort, says to eKapija.

Our collocutor mentions they opted for the location in Takovska Street because the largest number of tourist attractions and business zones are there.

- Apart from that, only one turn from the direction of the airport and Nis leads to Takovska Street, i.e. 88 Rooms hotel. The location has good potential given the perspective of the implementation of the Belgrade on Water project and the proximity of the Danube. Also, real estate in Takovska Street is owned by the company which significantly facilitated project implementation – Avram explains.

Aside from the management which has been operating within MK Mountain Resort, the hotel will employ 50 people.

As people at MK say, the hotel is equally interested to business guests and tourists whose number in Belgrade is on the rise.

- We expect interest from guests from the region, primarily Croatia and Slovenia, Western Europe countries, and Russia.

As for now, MK is not planning to open another hotel in Belgrade, but they are interested in doing that in the future.

- Our company generally recognizes a huge potential in further hotel business expansion. After Kopaonik, which is at the very top of the leisure destinations where MK Mountain Resort has already been a leader in hotel offer, Belgrade turns out to be the most attractive destination. Generally speaking, if we are talking about business hotels, Belgrade's market share is unmatched in Serbia.
