The owner of Austria's Soravia, Hano Soravia, announced that Belgrade-based Radisson Blue Hotel on the former Stari Mlin site, between the Mostar interchange and the building of BIGZ, would be opened in 2014.
His opinion is that Serbia, as the country of the future, should join the European Union as soon as possible, but only if it manages to be on good terms with its neighbors.
He added that the practice in Serbia was that investors must approach city authorities, whereas he expected to be approached by the mayor with an offer.
- Even before the economic crisis we decided to invest in Serbia, primarily because we managed to win Erste Bank and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development to our hotel project in Belgrade - he explained.
According to him, the total value of the investment in this project is close to EUR 60 million. The future hotel will comprise 255 rooms and 3,000 square meters of office space for rent.
