Feeling more secure when buying real estate - Republic Geodetic Authority of Serbia launches new online service

Citizens of Serbia will soon feel more secure when buying an apartment, house or land. A new internet service of the Republic Geodetic Authority will make it possible for buyers to learn everything about the owners or users of real estates by inputting some basic information.

In this way, citizens will be able to check everything before deciding to buy an apartment. This service of the Republic Geodetic Authority will prevent abuses and frauds in the real estate trade to a significant extent. The chances that an apartment is sold to several buyers or that a real estate is bought from non-existing owners, that is, frauds, will soon be reduced to a minimum.

- With its online service KN web Public, the Republic Geodetic Authority has enabled the citizens of Serbia to learn all publicly available data about real estate owners by simply providing some basic information - says Nenad Tesla, director of the Republic Geodetic Authority. It is enough to type the number of the cadastral parcel or the address of the real estate to get all the information about the ownership of certain real estate.

In addition to KN web Public, the RGA has also launched some other useful services as well as the web page http://www.rgz.gov.rs/ that offers links to all services of this Authority.

At the RGA web portal http://www.geosrbija.rs/, citizens can browse all official databases of the Republic Geodetic Authority and other public geospatial intelligence authorities. This portal is monthly visited by about 2.5 million users.

Host

In 2015, the Republic Geodetic Authority will be the host of the General Assembly of Eurogeographics, which is the membership association of the European cadastre, land registry and national mapping authorities.
