Raiffeisen Bank in Serbia announced today (June 17, 2010) that it had started building its own administrative building in Belgrade, in which total of about EUR 35m would be invested.

- By making this investment, we want to send a signal that Serbian market remains important and interesting to us, as well as that we plan a dynamic business growth - Oliver Roegl, the Chairman of the Executive Board of Raiffeisen Bank in Serbia, said at the press conference.

He points out that the decision on construction of the administrative building is made with the aim of even better positioning of the bank for the period of economic growth that lies ahead of Serbia.

The new administrative building of Raiffeisen Bank will be built in a very attractive location in the business zone of New Belgrade. According to Mr. Roegl, the bank will move in the building in early 2012.

Total projected surface of that facility is about 21,000 square meters, and the new building of Raiffeisen Bank will be big enough for about 1,150 employees.

In addition to Raiffeisen Bank, the headquarters of Raiffeisen leasing companies, investment funds and pension funds will also be settled in the new administrative building.

According to the words of Jelena Popović, the Director of the bank's General Affairs Sector, a modern architecture of the building and top-quality of construction, along with the respect for ecological protection, will most certainly contribute to further development and improvement of the visual identity of that part of New Belgrade.
