Atlas Group's consortium took over military-medical complex in Meljine

- Atlas Group's consortium formally became the owner of Military-medical complex in Meljine near Herceg Novi yesterday (March 1st, 2010) - Atlas Group announced.

- The representatives of the Government and the consortium signed the announcement about closing of the transaction on the basis of the sales contract - it is stated in the announcement.

- The whole purchase price is paid, appropriate guarantees are submitted and all building and infrastructural facilities are entered in the registry - Atlas Television announced the statement by Atlas Group.

It is added that the new owner of the center is medical institution Meljine Kompleks which will be managing the whole property.

The sales contract was signed in June 2008 when Atlas Group promised to pay 25m EUR for the state-owned stocks of the Military-medical center.

According to the contract, the new owner is to invest about 120m EUR in the medical center, as well as additional 100m EUR within next five years.

Atlas Group promised to keep all the workers and to pay them average gross salary of about 850 EUR.

The project anticipates construction of a complex with a hospital for plastic and cardiovascular surgery, diagnostic and rehabilitation center. Construction of a hotel and a complex of luxury villas is also in the pipeline.

The consortium comprises Atlas CAP Podgorica, Atlasmont Banka, Invest Banka Montenegro and Special Hospital for Internal Diseases Sveti Nikola from Kraljevo.
