Jat invited potential buyers to bid for business building in Belgrade

Serbian air transportation company Jat Airways announced today (February 9, 2009) that it had sent the notice about sale of its business building in Belgrade to the addresses of over 200 most successful companies and banks in Serbia.

According to the announcement, all those interested in "top office space" at the surface of 8,590.48 square meters are invited to contact the authorized service of Jat Airways via e-mail address legal@jat.com.

The decision on sale of the business building in New Belgrade by direct agreement was made by the Assembly of Jat Airways because the sale at public auction was unsuccessful on two occasions, when the starting price amounted to 2,121 and 1,200 EUR per square meter.

The CEO of Jat Airways, Srđan Radovanović, assessed that the transparent sale of surplus property that is not used to a full extent would accelerate implementation of the anounced reforming measures, as well as reconstruction and modernization of Serbian national airliner.

After the building is sold to a new owner, Jat's management will move to the premises of Serbian airliner at Airport Nikola Tesla.

- The money obtained from the sale and the loan that will be taken from the bank on the basis of the sale will be used for rental of two new airplanes Boeing 737-700 and the overhaul of all airplanes that are currently grounded, that is, procurement of necessary parts - it is stated in Jat's announcement.
