Institucija za izgradnju i upravljanje nekretninama doo Beograd is the new owner of the B23 Office Park business complex, a well known building with a heliport which has stood unfinished next the highway across from Arena for over 10 years, eKapija learns. The property of Beta 23 was sold at the initial price of RSD 2,265,714,158.
The company was founded in August 2019, and Zvonko Gobeljic is listed as the sole owner.
As we've learned, two companies had bought the documentation for the public bidding which was held on December 2, but it was only Gobeljic's company that paid the deposit of RSD 906,285,663.
Beta 23 had been offered as a legal entity whose most important property consisted of office space – a building under construction of close to 60,000 m2, that is, the building with the heliport and 7 floors. More about this can be found in a separate article
The construction of this building was announced back in 2007, when Krsta Sandic, the vice president of Verano, announced the construction of an office building of 52,000 m2. The construction began in 2009. There was talk at the time about there being several interested companies that would buy the whole facility. It was fairly obvious that the facility would not be completed, as bankruptcy proceeding were initiated at the company Verano Motors in 2015.
Three years late, in 2018, the Bankruptcy Supervision Agency announced the first and then the second sale. There were no bidders.
Zvonko Gobeljic, the new owner of Beta 23, has recently bought Industrija Motora Rakovica AD for RSD 1.1 billion
