BAS a.d. has called an extraordinary GM for October 29, where, among other items on the agenda, the proposition for taking out a loan for the construction of the new bus station in Block 42 in New Belgrade will be considered. As said in the material prepared for the GM, the proposition is for EUR 12 million to be borrowed from Komercijalna Banka.

– Considering that an agreement on the joint construction of the bus station in Block 42 in New Belgrade was signed between the City of Belgrade and BAS a.d., and that according to it the City of Belgrade is to secure the location, whereas BAS a.d. is the investors which will fully finance the construction of the necessary project and technical documentation and finance the construction of the complex of the new integrated bus station, all within the deadlines securing the unobstructed realization of the strategic projects commenced in the City of Belgrade, it is necessary to secure financial funds for the realization of the contracted and planned business activities. Considering the amount of the necessary financial funds, they can't be provided from the regular operations of BAS and need to be secured from a loan – the material reads.

As said, the credit is more than 30% of the book value of the total property of BAS from the latest annual balance and is considered a high-value property under the Company Law.

– In line with the Law on Accounting and Auditing and the Law on the Capital Market, we are obliged to have the financial reports for 2019 audited.
