Hotel "Skrapež" in Kosjerić seeks new owner again – deadline for submission of bids is August 31st

"Titan cementara Kosjerić" and the Commission of Kosjerić’s Municipal Council announced today (July 30, 2009) the fourth public tender for sale of hotel "Skrapež" and restaurant "Park" in that town.

These are the facilities of the Cement factory’s former sector for catering, tourism and trade, which was privatized by “Titan” five years ago in the package with the cement production line. The Privatization Agency gave the consent last year for sale of aforementioned facilities four years before the deadline from the sales contract because the owner promised to invest collected funds in the municipal budget for financing development programmes focused on employment.

However, three previous attempts of sale did not attract any interested buyers although the starting price for hotel "Skrapež" of 67m RSD was constantly dropping, so that it has been decided that the owner of that facility should be found according to the principle of “the most favorable offer”.

In addition to 37 ares of land, hotel "Skrapež", built in 1976 and reconstructed on two occasions, owns office space at 3,523 square meters. The hotel has a restaurant with 300 and coffee shop with 100 seats, 10 one-bed and 8 three-bed rooms, two suites and six one-bed rooms that have recently been refurbished, as well as other accompanying premises.

The new starting price of restaurant "Park", which occupies the surface of about 300 square meters, is 9m RSD.

Potential buyers of these facilities will be bound by the sales contract to maintain the continuity of activities in these facilities during the next five years, as well as to keep current hotel workers if they express wish to stay in the company.

Other facilities of the Cement factory that got new owners at last year’s auctions are: city bakery, restaurants on Divčibare mountain and at Railway station, as well as office space in the center of Kosjerić.

The deadline for submission of bids for hotel "Skrapež" and restaurant "Park" is August 31st, after which the joint commission of the Cement factory and the municipality will select the best bidder.
