By the unanimous decision of the Assembly of city of Leskovac, 70% of public capital of City Bus Station "Legas" will be soon offered for sale. The local self-government has decided to make that moe because the founder of this modern station, the Development Fund, that is, city of Leskovac, is unable to finance completion of works from so-called third phase.
City bus station "Legas" was officially put in operation on February 10, 2006. Over 74m RSD have been invested in the first two phases of construction of the bus station, while the works from so-called third phase require about 110m RSD worth of investments. Among the rest, a commercial administrative building should be built and include 45 outlets, one third of which have already been sold at the price of 800-1,500 EUR per square meter. People in Leskovac believe that there will be certain number of buyers interested in City Bus Station "Legas".
City bus station "Legas", one of the most modern buildings of the kind in Serbia, can soon be led to bankruptcy because the contractor for the works from so-called third phase, "Andrić komerc", has pressed charges against that collective, that is, local self-government, because of the unsettled obligations worth 300m RSD.
