Copy linkOld Sugar Factory in Cukarica to become space for culture, IT and creative industries
Old Sugar Factory complex in Cukarica will in the future quarter a number of locales intended for culture, IT and creative industries, Deputy Mayor of Belgrade Goran Vesic announced.
– The Government of Serbia and the City of Belgrade will buy out the Sugar Refinery sometime in the next period and we will renovate all facilities within the complex and create spaces for culture, IT and creative industries, Vesic said at the press conference held at Stari dvor after he announced the upcoming “Days of Freedom” event.
During the event, which celebrates 74 years after the liberation of Belgrade in WWII and 100 years after the liberation of Belgrade in WWI, a number of programmes will be organized.
One of them will entail a multimedia theatre play scheduled for October 19 at the Old Sugar Factory in Cukarica that will authentically present the battles and events during the war.
