Company "Delta Maxi" plans to make stronger entrance into the market of Federation of BIH in 2009 through opening of the first hypermarkets in the major cities of that entity, while the commencement of construction of a shopping mall in Sarajevo is expected in 2010.
The beginning of development of the shopping mall in Sarajevo in the location of factory "Standard", as Dragan Filipović, the CEO of the company, explained, is scheduled for year 2010, while the works on the same type of facility at 56,000 square meters in Banjaluka are, most likely, not going to start in April 2009, but few months later.
Filipović reminded that the aim of "Delta Maxi" was to have 50 new markets of various size built in BiH by the end of year 2013, in which about 200m EUR would be invested.
- We are not going to experience any problems with the achievement of that goal this year, but certain stoppages can appear in 2010 and 2011. Situation is critical now, so that the realization of the projects may be prolonged a bit, but that is not going to disturb our plans since we have plenty of locations in BIH and good financial support – he pointed out.
People in company "Delta Maxi" say that the turnover of their company in BIH amounted to about 130.8m EUR in 2008, which is 41% more than in 2007, while the projected incomes for this year amount to 180m EUR.
