Israeli Shikun & Binui Group to build 500 apartments in New Belgrade – EUR 130 million to be invested in residential complex Wellport

Guy Dvorin and Gili Dekel
The Israeli company Shikun & Binui Group, known in Serbia for the construction of complexes Central Garden and Vozdove Kapije, announced that it would start building the first condominium in New Belgrade, called Wellport. The project worth EUR 130 million was officially presented on Thursday, May 10, 2018, at the assembly hall of the Yugoslav Film Archive.

The residential complex Wellport, designed by world-renowned Israeli architect Rami Wimmer, will offer 500 modern residential units, ranging from studios to five-room apartments, which will be built in four phases. In the first phase, 95 units will be offered, and the future residents will be able to choose the type of finishing works and equipment with the professional help of an architect.

The condominium is located in the proximity of the Airport City complex and has been designed, it was pointed out, to provide premium construction quality, with an emphasis on natural materials, as well as to meet energy efficiency demands.

Private parking, a sports court, professional maintenance, an indoor park, a reception hall and security, as well as access by card, are just some of the benefits of the first condominium in New Belgrade, it was said.

– In New Belgrade, an increasingly popular residential location, we will build homes for 500 families, complying as always with the high standards of quality, offering a luxurious interior, comfort and security – Gili Dekel, a partner-investor in the project, said at the presentation of Wellport.

He symbolically handed over a rudder to Guy Dvorin, director of Shikun & Binui Group for Europe, so that, as he pointed out, he would “successfully steer the project to a safe port”.

Ambassador of Israel to Belgrade Alona Fisher-Kamm reminded that Shikun & Binui Group was one of the leading Israeli companies for infrastructure and real estate, a global corporation active in over 20 countries in four continents.

The sale of apartments has been exclusively put in charge of one of the leading real estate consulting companies in Serbia, CBS International, a member of Cushman & Wakefield Group.
