The main entrance is formed on the low foreground, from Marsala Birjuzova St., with a reception, lobby, apperitive bar, all group in one entity, while the space continues towards conference room and business center. The guests have direct access to the panoramic elevator, in which steel construction is seenable behing glass panels in the manner of hi-technologies. The floor is covered with dark tiles, set up in a way to give the effect of a specific ornament. Stairs have been reconstructed, with accent on merging old and new, which was successfully done by combinating existing old brick still clear and glass fence with steel elements making the stairs fence.
In the higher part of the foreground, oriented towards Toplicin venac St., there is a staff entrance and caffee space with double use. In the morning hours, they serve breakfast, while during the day the space is opened for anyone who wish to relaxe in the quiet corner in the city’s heart. Elements are specific and purposed only for this space: furniture in the rooms, wood processing, inox, armchairs’ legs in the rooms, reception desk masks and radiators masks. High quality materials were used for everything, and all objects were made exclusively for the needs of Townhouse 27 hotel. Every space was treated by the designers and every detail was given special attention in order to make the effect of recognizable elegance and comfort.
Famous Serbian sculptor, Garbiel Glid, has done the sculptures, drawings and art photography. In the interior design of the hotel, special places were left for his words, and therefore they pass the entire space, giving it a special charm. He uses very often a motive of truck’s tires pattern to develop a simple ornamental foundation in various materials. With different techniques, the artist creates qualities that mark in the interior the idea of a symbol, avoiding drastic elements and maintaining itself only on the pure and geometric forms.
His works will remain part of hotel’s interior.
