Potential investors are asking for changes in the tender for Old Mt. – “Immorent” and “Energoprojekt” interested in construction of touristic center

Two companies are interested in construction of touristic center in Old Mt., but they asked for prolongation of the deadline and changes of tender’s conditions, as it was announced by the State secretary for tourism, Goran Petkovic.

He told the press that two co-investors applied on the tender for Old Mt., the Austrian Immorent, part of Erste group and Serbian, Energoprojekt, but he also said that the companies considered this a bad moment for investments and therefore were asking for changes of conditions.

According to his word, the companies are asking to decrease the extents of investments, to divide investments into several smaller investments, and to replace the model of co-investing into joint investing.

At the moment, legal experts and economists are working on the analysis of the part, that should be the subject of changes.

- We are doing on remodeling the conditions of the tender, and afterwards the Government needs to declare about made changes, said Petkovic.

A total of 154 million euros of investments is planned for the first phase, mostly in hotel structure, restaurant structure, recreational and entertainment objects. 50 million euros should be given for ski sites, and 30 million euros for communal infrastructure.

Deadline for submission of offers for the tender for co-investor in touristic complex, Jabucko ravniste at Old Mt. has already once been postponed because of financial crisis, and the last deadline expited on December, 3rd, 2008.

The guarantee for participation on the tender was reduced to 1,5 million eurs from previously asked 2 million euros.
