The Castle of Ed Shpizer in Beocin, whose owner was one of the shareholders of Becon cement factory, has got a new host - a German, Klaus Weisse, owner of "Weiss Electronics" company, and he is planning to renovate it into a restaurant with apartments. He will also move the head office of "Weiss Electronics" to the castle.
The Agreement was signed by Klaus Weiss and the President of Beocin Municipality, Bogdan Cvejic.
After more than 10 years, how much the castle has been standing empty and abandoned, when once it used to be one of the most beautiful castles in this part of Europe, it will be renovated under supervision of the experts from the cultural monuments preservation institute.
The castle weas built by Shpizer family by the project of Steindal Imrea, 1890-92. Ed Shpizer was one of the owners of Beocin cement factory. The decoration of the object was done in accordance to its purpose and very high economic status of the Shpizer family. The object represent an example of eclectic unision in which function and decoration are in harmony in unique way, recognizable for the transition of the centuries and as an attempt to join and settle the elements of previous styles with the coming styles. The building has touches of romance style, gotika, rennaissance and barrocco.
