The construction of the first retail park in Vrsac, Stop Shop of the Austrian company Immofinanz, is in progress in the location of the former foundry, between the Town Lake and the international road to Romania, and the opening should take place on April 26.
The local self-government sees this multi-million investment, realized on 8,200 square meters, as a great opportunity to reduce the unemployment rate, considering that the plan is for 250 to 300 citizens of Vrsac to be employed in 22 outlets of renowned foreign and local brands.
In order for the employers from this store chain to find adequate workforce as easily as possible, the town of Vrsac and Immofinanz organized a job fair, which was attended by numerous people from Vrsac of various ages.
– There are around 4,700 unemployed people in Vrsac, 47% of whom are people with completed secondary education. This is a good opportunity for them to find a job, as the majority of the jobs on offer require that degree of education – says Mayor of Vrsac Dragana Mitrovic.
Stop Shop Vrsac is the fifth retail park of Immofinanz in Serbia. They already exist in Cacak, Nis, Valjevo and Lazarevac, and another two are soon to open in Pozarevac and Sremska Mitrovica.
