Company “Monterra”: We are not only developing a sports hall, but also the sports spirit of Inđija!

(Future sports fairy in Inđija)

Company “Monterra” Ltd. is the general contractor for works on construction of sports hall in Block 4 in Inđija. As Goran Ješić, Mayor of Municipality of Inđija, announced earlier, that sports hall will be the most representative building in this municipality in Vojvodina. Construction of such facility is also important because of the forthcoming “Universiade 2009” since it will enable Inđija to be included in the center of this significant manifestation.

Construction of sports hall includes the development of court of 49.57 x 30.60 meters, while the height of the hall’s interior will be 19 meters. As eKapija found out in the talk with the representatives of “Monterra”, the hall will be used for various sports, such as handball, volleyball, tennis, small sports (boxing, karate…), as well as for organization of various meetings. There will also be trim tracks, gym, media center, the press box, hall with café, outlets, which all together proves how much this hall will be new to our public.

”Monterra“ has highly responsibly and professionally approached this development. The investor is the Directorate for Development of Municipality of Inđija. Severin Samardžić, the Director of High-rise Building Sector within company ”Monterra“, pointed out in the interview for eKapija that all modern sports hall development standards would be respected in the implementation of that project.

- As one of the most significant companies in the development market of Serbia and the región, we engaged our own resources in the construction of this magnificient sports hall because it is the best way for us to carry out the construction works in a responsible and a quality way and to meet the deadlines. First of all, I would like to point out that our experienced workers and top engineer staff work on this project. We have provided cranes, concrete base, new, modern dredges for digging (about 40,000 cubic meters), and we will also lower the level of the subterranean waters – says Samardžić.

He underlines that “Monterra” will face new challenges during the development of this facility.

-Our company has a lot of experience, but every project brings something new. In this case, construction of the main roof carrier 90 meters long, which will be visible from the outside, will represent a new challenge for us – Samardžić points out.

There are many interesting details within this project, and people in “Monterra“ proudly point out that so-called “horner” floor (maple massive, blind floor, elastic base) will be laid in the central hall; fixed and telescopic stands will be installed; there will be five lighting levels, which will be in accord with FIBA standards. As far as heating system in future Inđija’s sports center is concerned, the boiler room will be powered by gas.

- At the moment, the value of the works carried out by our company amounts to about 600m RSD, while the details of the entire investment are only known to the investor. The expectations are that the hall will be finished prior to June 15, 2009, which represents a great responsibility. In order to meet the deadline, we expect to get full support from the municipal authorities, as well as from the state that must help us resolve all possible problems in a quick and constructive way. ”Monterra“ will be helped by the team of leaders made of experienced and young engineers and technicians who are craving for challenges –Samardžić points out.
