Realization of the largest greenfield investment in the past decade has started in Pančevo. Several private companies are investing in construction of residential-business complex along the coast of the Tamiš river.
Thanks to that investment, in two years, Pančevo should get a supermarket at 4,500 square meters, shopping mall at 5,500 square meters and 24o apartments under the same roof along the coast of the Tamiš river, not far away from its confluence with the Danube.
The investment is significant to Pančevo because organization of the area that gravitates towards the Tamiš has been representing the problem of the city for decades. Although it is maybe the best location in the city, number of investments realized here is very small.
The city officials, who relatively quickly approved of the offered project, hope that this investment, once it is finished, will attract the others.
The same consortium that is building the first complex in Potamišje already has the plans to built another three of the kind on nearby locations.
