The first international conference and real estate expo REBEC (www.rebec.rs) has commenced today (June 23, 2008) in the Belgrade Center "Sava", with the participation of experts who deal with architecture, real estate development and investments.
According to the words of Aleksandar Opsenica, the carrier and organizer of this project, the real estate market in Serbia has the best potential in the region, but much more should be done in field of market organization in order to make it possible for the real estate sector to get the place it deserves".
Slobodan Mihajlović, the Executive Manager of company "Block 67 Associates" welcomed the initiative for organization of the meeting of this kind.
Alexander Petritz, the CEO of IMMORENT Serbia, said that that company saw Belgrade as the geo-strategic center of southeast Europe, as well as that they were aware of the great potential of Belgrade and the entire Serbia.
One of the speakers at the opening was Severine Menuto, the Sales Manager of "MIPIM Horizons", which will have its premiere this year in Cannes, between December 2 and 4.
Aleksandar Opsenica said that he expected between 120 and 150 participants in the conference, which has total of 32 speakers.
- There are 13 exhibitors at the expo, among which are government agencies, investment funds, lawyers, investors, contractors, councilors, city planners and media - said he.
Expo lasts for three days, while conference lasts for two days and it will end on June 25th.
The conference is divided into 7 panel discussions, 4 of which will be presented on the first day and 3 on the second day.
Opsenica said that REBEC would become the traditional gathering place and he announced the next meeting for the period between June 22 and June 25, 2009.
