Lidl to open first stores in Serbia in 2018 – Location purchase and facility construction in progress

Lidl Serbia is sticking to its plans for the Serbian market, and the stores are planned to open during 2018, the company said.

As stated, Lidl Serbia currently focuses on purchasing the locations, planning the construction and establishing the system within the organization in order to prepare for opening stores in Serbia.

– The facilities are being built throughout Serbia, but, regardless of when the construction on the locations is completed, no Lidl facility will open before 2018 – the company says.

The position of Lidl International, published, as they remind, last year as well, is that Lidl is currently focused and working on opening stores in the US, as well as in Serbia, and that it is not planning at the moment to expand to the market of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
