Ground testing in Radnicka Street completed, construction of Ada Mall to start in March – Opening planned for 2018

The works on Ada Mall in Radnicka Steet, on the location of the former Minel factory, started in February, following the completion of the ground testing.

The demolition of what’s left over from the previous facility is close to being completed, and the shopping mall might open to visitors in late 2018, as confirmed by the project investor, GTC.

Although it had been announced that the works would start in late 2016, the demolition of the former Minel factory in the municipality of Cukarica was late, as was the development of the ground.

The reason for this is that the building permit was only issued in late January, and the workers and demolition machines could therefore only enter the plot of land in Radnicka Street starting with February.

GTC Serbia doesn’t expect further complications, as a detailed ground testing was previously carried out by the Institute of Transportation CIP.

– Following the demolition and the development of the ground, the works are expected to begin in March, so that the deadlines would be honored and so that the first visitors could enter the mall in late 2018 – GTC Serbia says.

The innovatively designed building, wavy in shape and with terrace floors, will take up 34,000 square meters of lease space. The shopping mall will have three floors, around a hundred outlets, a floor for recreation and restaurants, green terraces and around 1,000 parking spaces, making it the biggest commercial facility in the municipality of Cukarica.
