The company MPC Properties opened Shoppi Retail Park in the Belgrade neighborhood of Borca today, in which it has invested EUR 15 million and where 500 workers will be employed.

The opening ceremony was attended by the mayor of Belgrade, Sinisa Mali, who said that there were increasingly more investments in Belgrade, thanks to which new workers were being employed, changing the image of the city.

He pointed out that Borca was becoming a great construction site, as the German company Lidl was building a supermarket near the newly opened retail park.

– We are preparing the permits for another shopping mall in Rakovica and employing our construction sector that way – Mali said.

The director of MPC Properties, Thomas Villadsen, said that the Borca shopping mall had been built in seven months and that all the premises in which the goods of renowned world companies would be sold had already been leased.

The mall takes up 13,000 cubic meters and has 350 parking spaces.

MPC owns the Usce shopping mall in New Belgrade and Shoppi Retail Park in Subotica.
