Urban and architectonic competition for Block 18 across Belgrade Waterfront released - Applications to be submitted by June 14

Directorate for construction land and construction of Belgrade and the Association of Architects of Serbia announced open survey urban and architectural design competition for Block 18 in Novi Beograd.

According to the competition documentation available at the website of the Directorate for construction land and construction of Belgrade , the objective of competition is to, based on analyzed spatial constraints, resources, needs, trends and requirements:

define the (real) space development opportunities and potentials; define zone or units according to morphological, planning, environmental and other features that can be determined by construction rules, review and define content and scope of public space within Block 18; review all other aspects of the area in order to develop this site into a new urban unit of the center in Novi Beograd at the left bank of the Sava.

The deadline for submission is June 14, 2016.


The best works will be selected by the jury: Milutin Folic, city planner and president of the jury and an architect Mirjana Milanovic, prof. Dr. Ljiljana Blagojevic, Nebojsa Minjević and academician prof. Milan Lojanica. The competition results will be announced July 8, 2016.
