The City Assembly of Novi Sad has recently adopted the Master Plan which calls for the construction of shopping center in the location of Rasadnik on Futoski Road in that city.
The main objection by the opposition refers to the fact that when adopting the Master Plan, aldermen from the ruling coalition agreed to reduce the percentage of greenery from 25 to 15% at the proposal of Belgrade-based companies
Lidl Srbija and
Balkans Real Estate.
Another interesting thing about this Master Plan is that it indirectly discloses the location of the second Lidl facility in Novi Sad. Namely, four years ago this company bought a land lot of 11,142 square meters at the corner of Vojvode Stepe Boulevard and Europe Boulevard for EUR 1.6 million in order to build a 2,000 square meter facility and a parking lot for 100 vehicles on it.
