City of Budva is the largest investor at Montenegrin seaside, because the realization of 15 capital projects is currently in progress on its territory. This was announced by Mayor of Budva Rajko Kuljača. He also added that construction of the unit for desalinization of sea water should be completed by the beginning of April 2008. This investment, worth 8m EUR, will significantly improve supply of water to the most significant municipality of Montenegro in field of tourism.
It is also expected that the tender will be announced for treatment of wastewater on the territory of Municipality of Budva. Also, an aqua-park will be built on Topliš hill, and commencement of construction of four football fields in the vicinity of Jaz beach is in the pipeline.
This year, Municipality of Budva set aside about 33m EUR for investments, while the plans for the next year are even bigger. People from Municipality of Budva especially point to planned construction of business-tourist complex, with a stadium, in which more than 100m EUR will be invested, as well as construction of business-apartment centre.
