Crowne Plaza instead of Holiday Inn - Take a look at how new member of world hotel chain in Novi Sad will look like

Olivera Polanec from this Novi Sad-based company which operates within Aleksandar gradnja says it is not the construction of the new hotel but that the franchise contract with IHG changed since the group owns Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn brands.

Let us remind that InterContinental hotel group (IHG), one of the biggest hotelier companies in the world, announced official construction start of Crowne Plaza in Vojvodina’s capital. As IHG announced, the new hotel will operate in line with the franchise contract signed with Novi Sad-bsed Plaza AGNS" d.o.o. Novi Sad.

Polanec says the look of the existing hotel will not change since higher standards of IHG group have been aligned already during construction.

Novi Sad-based Crowne Plaza will have 144 rooms and its opening is planned during 2016

New facility, with the existing one Crowne Plaza in Belgrade, is a gesture of further alignment with the strategy of IHG which promotes growth of this label presence in more demanding business centers for achieving desired terms for service development in business trips segments, IHG says.

According to the announcements, Crowne Plaza Novi Sad will represent a line of functions fit for the needs of organization of business programs and meetings, with five meeting rooms and two for meetings with the form of managerial boards.

The fact that it will have a congress center on 500 m proves the hotel will be fit for business guests.

Guests will have a restaurant on non-stop basis and they will be able to relax in a hotel bar with an extraordinary view over the city.

Crowne Plaza Novi Sad hotel, according to the announcement, will have its own authentic salon-club and fitness center with equipment at the highest world level which will be at the roof of the hotel.

As collocutor of eKapija portal adds, Crowne Plaza will be categorized with 4+ stars and it will offer higher service level than Holiday Inn brand.

Newly-opened Holiday Inn

The construction of Holiday Inn started in spring 2010 and ended in late 2012. However, the hotel has never opened although there were announcements it will open in the spring 2013.
