The joint stock company Lustica Development has commenced preparations for the construction of F-phase tourist facilities within the Lustica Bay complex. The phase F calls for the construction of eight facilities with 45 housing units.
- Construction work will be resumed by the same standards we applied in the previous period, to the construction of the first ten facilities with 70 suites that are already handed over to their owners. We expect these new facilities to be finished by the end of 2016 - explained Nabil Michel, the construction director at Lustica Development.
Also, the next phase of planning and designing the first hotel within the complex - Promenada, has been approved.
- Regardless of the fact that we are still in talks with the brand that will take over the management of hotel, we've decided to speed up the things a bit by commencing preparations for further planning and designing of the hotel, so we could ensure the continuity and easier fitting of the requirements of the future hotel operator into preliminary designs - the company said in a release.
American architect Aaron Gentry and Atlanta-based TVS Design won an international architectural and urban design contest for Promenada Hotel, the first out of seven hotels to be built within the future tourist town in the vicinity of Tivat.
Lustica Development is also responsible for the construction of complete infrastructure called for by the Lustica Bay project.
Lustica Bay is conceived as a new tourist town in Montenegro that is fit perfectly into the natural environment and integrated into the local community as a functional town open to visitors the whole year long.
Once completed, the new town in the Adriatic will feature 690 hectares of land, seven hotels, two marinas, the first professional golf course in Montenegro, more than 1,000 apartments, over 500 residential villas and houses, and various other amenities.
