Reconstruction of the famous hotel Jugoslavija in New Belgrade, which is becoming a part of the renowned hotel chain Kempinski, is going to start in 2016, City Planner Milutin Folic told the daily Informer.
He noted that the hotel complex would stretch over an area of 190,000 square meters.
– The legendary hotel Jugoslavija will be completely renovated and is becoming a part of the Kempinski five-star chain. In addition, construction of a shopping center and two towers is also in the pipeline. One of the towers will feature luxury furnished apartments, while the other will be used as part of Kempinski Hotel, featuring residences and suites - Folic pointed out.
According to this city planner, both towers will have 33 floors, and there will also be a large number of parking places in the underground garage.
Construction of such hotels usually takes between 2 and 3 years to complete, so city authorities expect Kempinski Hotel in New Belgrade to receive first guests in early 2019.
