Swiss Ambassador to Serbia Erwin Hofer and Kraljevo Mayor Ljubisa Simovic signed agreements on February 7 on the donation of CHF 315,000 for preparation of a technical documentation and reconstruction of the building of the city administration.

The pharmaceutical company Roche donated RSD 1 million to the health center Studenica for reconstruction of the Internal Medicine Clinic, and it has also been announced that Geberit Group would provide CHF 135,000 for reconstruction of toilets in two primary schools in Kraljevo.

In this way, the aid provided by the Swiss Government and companies from that country for mitigation of the consequences of the earthquake in Kraljevo has reached the amount of about CHF 500,000.

- We are especially pleased with the fact that Swiss companies have joined the government in helping Kraljevo. We are present in Kraljevo for more than 10 years and the friendship between our country and Kraljevo has to be proved at difficult times - said Ambassador Hofer.

He reminded that 21 projects had been implemented in Kraljevo since 2001 through the Municipal Support Programme (MSP), which had been backed by Switzerland with CHF 1 million.

As Roche CEO Ana Govedarica pointed out, that company quickly reacted after the earthquake and donated RSD 1 million for refurbishment of the Internal Medicine Clinic, which had to be evacuated.

- During 40 years of presence in the market of Serbia, Roche has built a partnership relation with local medical institutions. We also invite other companies to help renovation of Kraljevo - said Ms. Govedarica.

The meeting was also attended by Ivana Misic, the Assistant to the Health Minister.
