Minister of Labor, Employment, Veteran and Social Policy Zoran Djordjevic and Ambassador of Turkey to Belgrade Tanju Bilgic have visited the Gerontology Center Bezanijska Kosa and handed over the donation consisting of 36 modern medical beds and sheets.

The beds adapted to persons with disabilities were provided by the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA).

– This will be a great help to people who spend most of their time in bed. We want to continue investing in gerontology centers so that our oldest citizens would be provided with optimal living conditions – Djordjevic said.

He added that talks with Turkish investors about a further cooperation and investments would continue.

Ambassador Bilgic pointed out that Turkey and Serbia had close relations and that the economy was the priority.

– With the help of TIKA, we want to help Serbia. To us, this symbolic contribution here is very important and we appreciate that. We are always prepared to provide help whenever it is needed. I believe that is how friendly countries should behave – the Turkish ambassador said.
