Dimitris Frangetis, President of Executive Board of Piraeus bank in Serbia
Piraeus banking group has appointed Dimitris Frangetis as the new President of the Executive Board of Piraeus bank in Serbia. Frangetis will take the position as soon as he gest the official permit from the National Bank of Serbia.
Frangetis is becoming the new President of the Executive Board after he gained rich experience on responsible managerial positions in field of banking and finance. Before he entered Piraeu banking group, during his 16-year work experience in Greek ANZ Grindlays bank, he was the Manager of the Sector for funds and liquidity, Manager of the Economic Affairs and Deputy Executive Manager. After that, he became the Vice President, and then the Executive Manager of Ionian bank.
After he was appointed the member of the ADministrative Board and Executive Manager of Emporiki bank, he also became the President of the numerous adjoining companies.
He joined Piraeus banking group in 2004 when he became the Executive Manager of Tirana bank, the second largest bank on Albanian market, which had 430 employees and the network of 40 branch offices at the end of year 2007. During his management, total credit portfolio of the bank was increased five times, while the profit was three times larger.
Dimitris Frangetis was also a member of the Executive Board of the Association of Greek banks.
