First e-Invoice Officially Passes Through Electronic Invoice System

The first e-invoice has passed through the production version of the Electronic Invoice System, which is now officially available to users, and the Ministry of Finance once again invites all the public sector subjects to register and switch to the system of e-invoices no later than May 1, says the announcement made by the ministry.

So far, 1,768 legal entities have registered for the production version of the Electronic Invoice System, of which 1,398 are users of public resources. The use of the production version of the e-Invoice System is voluntary until May 1, after which it will be mandatory for the public sector subject that want to send, receive and keep the invoices, as well as for the private sector subjects that want to issue an e-invoice to public sector subjects.


The obligation of a private sector subject to receive and keep the electronic invoice issued by a public sector subject will apply from July 1, 2022.

Finally, the obligation of the issuing and keeping of an electronic invoice in transactions between private sector subjects comes into effect on January 1, 2023.

The use of the electronic invoice system will be free.
