Corridors of Serbia Open Tender for Construction of First Section of Nis-Merdare Highway

The PE Corridors of Serbia has opened a public call for bids for the construction of the E-80 highway Nis-Merdare for the first section, of 5.5 kilometers, the Corridors announced.

The first phase of the E-80 highway Nis-Merdare, from Nis to Beloljin, of 37.4 km, will be financed from the loan and the investment grant provided to the Republic of Serbia by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the European Investment Bank (EIB). The EBRD loan is EUR 85 million, the EIB loan is EUR 100 million, and the EIB grant (through the WBIF) is EUR 40.6 million.

For the remaining three sections of the highway from Nis to Beloljin, activities on the preparation of the project technical and tendering documentation have been intensified and the public calls are expected to open soon.

Bids may be submitted by May 25, 2021.
