Nobel Prize for literature goes to French writer Patrick Modiano

The Swedish academy decided to deliver the Nobel Prize for literature for2014 to French writer Patrick Modiano.

Patrick Modiano was born July 30, 1945 and is a winner of numerous French and European awards and prizes. His most famous novels are: "Place for a star","Ring Roads", "'Villa Triste","Family book", "Rue des boutiques obscures ","De si braves garcons, "Un Cirque passe", "'Honeymoon", "August weeks", "Dora Bruder”, etc.

The lawyer of the Swedish academy, Peter Englund, in February received 271 nominations for this year’s Nobel Prizefor Literature and the list comprised 210 names. The Academy members, 18 of them, writers, poets, academics and others, selected the author who achieved extraordinarywork in the literature field.
