Overall PayPal’s service as of October 8
The overall PayPal’s service will be available in Serbia as of October 8, it was confirmed for B92 at the Ministry of trade, tourism and telecommunications.
The Assistant Minister of trade and telecommunications Rasim Ljajic, Sava Savic, said that October 8 is expected to see the option “receipt” through PayPalas well.
Paypal placed Serbia at the list for inclusion of the entire service for October 8. Savic however ads that the date can change in line with company’s business decisions but, as he outlined, Paypalis very specific when it comes to deadlines.
Savic explains that thanks to “receipt” option, our SMEs will be able to sell their goods at foreign markets and to be paid for it.
Savic explains that a precondition to use the system is that clients have a computer and an internet connection, to open their accounts as well as to connect their payment card with PayPal.
In April this year, citizens of Serbia could open their accounts at the biggest online service for money sending and internet paying. It was then announced that the service will go live in a few stages. In the beginning, only purchase and money sending was possible.
Through their Paypal accounts, citizens of Serbia will be able to:
- send/receive money for sale of goods or providing services
- send/receive money using "Request Payment" service
- send/receive money from foreign companies, profit and non-profit organizations
The PayPal’s fee depends on the country a user sends money from.
PayPal and Digital Serbia conference- where we are now and where we can and have to be ”will be held October 6, at the Press Center Tanjug organized by the Center for Internet Development.
