The announcement also states NCTS is a capital project where EU poured a few million euros because a connection to the system is a prerequisite to join EU.

In line with the plan, the Customs administration of Serbia started implementing pilot stage in five customs offices in Subotica and it is expected that by the end of the year all offices in the country are connected, it was added

NCTS is the first fully computerized customs system for paper-free business management which means that transit label is submitted electronically and is electronically processed at the Customs administration. It is verified with electronic signature of the one who submits it while the Customs administration makes a decision on goods release also electronically.

In the next few weeks, itis expected that other businessmen who expressed their interest in participating in the pilot stage start using electronic labels.

The Customs administration will enable business community to use the electronic label submission program free of charge, as a support for NCTS.
