Swiss company "Ringier" intends to invest 2.3m EUR into further development of daily newspaper "24 sata" and weekly issue of "Blic puls"

The owner of "Blic" and "24 sata" – Swiss media company "Ringier", registered income in amount of 21.4m EUR in Serbia in 2006. The company’s plan for this year is to invest approximately 2.3m EUR in procurement of equipment and further development of daily newspaper "24 sata" and weekly magazine "Blic puls".

- According to the plans for year 2007, approximately 2m EUR will be invested in the procurement of new equipment that will enable quick inserting of commercial contents into daily newspapers – said General Manager of "Blic press" Atila Mihok.

He pointed out that there had not been any investments in the printing machine, that the machine was 18 years old and that the company, therefore, planned to buy new CTP machine, the price of which was up to 300,000 EUR.

- Besides, free daily newspaper "24 sata" is still in the phase of investments and does not bring any profit, so that it is necessary to invest in it in order to bring it to the “positive zero” – said Mihok and added that he would be very satisfied if that happened in 2007.
