Electric Power Company of Serbia to invest 3.2 billion EUR into investment projects prior to year 2010

- Electric Power Company of Serbia (EPS) plans to invest 3.2 billion EUR into investment projects prior to year 2010, which is 800m EUR on annual basis – said the Assistant to the Manager of the Directorate of EPS for Investments Slobodan Mitrović.

He reminded that the largest investment projects in EPS were: completion of the building of Steam Power Plant "Kolubara B", construction of the Third block in Steam Power Plant "Nikola Tesla B", as well as modernization of Steam Power Plant "Toplana" in Vojvodina.

- These investments can be realized only if the price of electricity prior to 2012 exceeds 0.07 EUR per kWh - Mitrović warned at the round table at the Conference of power companies on Zlatibor.

By the way, the current price of electricity in Serbia amounts to 0.042 EUR.
