Recently published publication, “Creative Industries SERBIA" is planned to affirm creative industries of Serbia at the international markets. It contains short analysis with basic information and development potentials of industries and business associations which operate in promotion and their networking or business cooperation in this field, as well as 35 leaders of creative industry of Serbia, Hristina Mikic, the Executive Manager at Group for creative economy (GKE) explains for eKapija.
The first international promotion of Creative Industries SERBIA publication was held at the 7th CHINA Cultural Industry Expo fair in Shian, China, September 4-8.
According to our locator, the fair in Shian is specific because there products of applied arts and design are more popular. Unlike them, fairs in Peking and Shanghai, Suzhou and Shenzhen, place an accent on multimedia, industrial design, video animation and production, advertising and other creative industries which are used as creative services in other branches.

Creativity – Serbia’s export brand
Since our creative industries primarily developed as author ones, according to Mikic, Asian markets are very important for us when it comes to placement of products and services, especially Chinese and Japanese markets.
China is priority for our creative industries since today it is the fastest growing market for creative industries’ products and services placements. Since last year, a new program for strengthening author concept of Chinese creative industries and networking with the sector of creative industries of other countries was adopted.
China is the most important for our creative industries, as she says, for placement of designers of author-made products, industrial and graphic design, visual arts and ethno fashion products and accessorize.
From Russia to Emirates and India
Group for creative economy continues work on the research of potential for creative industries placements at international markets.
- Movie industry could generate the best results at Indian market because it is a country which today has the biggest annual movie production. Therefore, there is a great demand for movie production services and this market shows significant demand in the part of commercial shooting.
Russia is an interesting market for placement of products and graphic design while graphic and printing industry as well as printing of graphic illustrations has the biggest demand in Europe since prices are more competitive than the European average - Hristina Mikic concludes.
Further promotion of the Creative Industries SERBIA publication and 35 leaders of creative industries of Serbia will be held in Bulgaria at the international conference of cultural centers organized by the International council for cultural centers , the Group for creative economy says. After that, mid October will see it in Belarus within the project of development of creative industries and cooperation , West East European Cultural Partnership and then in late October in berlin at the conference dedicated to cultural and creative industries organized by the German Federal Ministry for Economy – the office for creative industries.
