Johnson Electric opens Nis-based plant September 12 - Hong-Kong-based company pours EUR 20m
September 12, Johnson Electric is opening the Nis-based plant which is a 20-mllion euro investment of Hong Kong-based company.
The newly built plant of Hong-Kong-based Johnson Electric, on10.000 square meters in the Sever industrial zone , no far away from Nis –based airport, will be officially opened September 12 – the Mayor of Nis, Zoran Perisic, confirmed.
As planned, by the end of 2016, the plant should hire at least 1.050 people and the investment totals EUR 20 m. By the end of this year 250 people will be hired, many of them highly educated and many of them have already completed the training in other Johnson Electric’s plants in Europe and China. Production expansion will later on result in new hires.
Electrical engines for automotive industry will be produced in the halls and giants such as , BMW, Jaguar and almost all most famous world companies are among list at the buyers’ list.
According to Perisic, this is certainly one of the most important and biggest investments in the city at the Nisava. Local self-governance provided construction site free of charge while the state subsidized every new vacancy with EUR 9000 each through SIEPA.
