Buyer of Mining Smelting Basin (RTB) "Bor" is from Belgrade – sales contract signed by Belgrade’s "Cuprom International"
Romanian company "Cuprom" is not the buyer of RTB "Bor", but only the guarantee for realization of the sales contract. The buyer is Belgrade-based company "Cuprom International", which was founded on November 1, 2006.
According to the records of the Business Registry Agency, the deposited cash capital of "Cuprom international" amounts to 490 EUR, whereas the activity of that company is copper ore mining and foreign-trade turnover.
The owner of "Cuprom International" is company "Cuprom" from Romania. In other words, "Cuprom International" is its daughter company. However, company “Cuprom” from Romania participated in the tender and it is allowed that the contract be signed by its daughter company.
The Ministry of Economy states that the Romanians were asked to found a company in Belgrade and to buy “Bor” using that company, because our Law on mining stipulates that only domestic company can obtain exploitation rights.
