YouTube for kids underway
Google is planning to introduce kids’ accounts so that it could offer its services to people younger than thirteen and one of the ideas is the implementation of the Youtube for kids site.
Wallstreet Journal reports that the new system would enable kids an access to all Google services through the accounts their parents would set up and control.
One of the ideas is the implementation of the Youtube for kids, the newspaper reports, quoting a well-informed source.
Strict American laws on online kids’ protection prevent Internet companies such as Facebook and Google to offer services for kids younger than 13.
The law requires parents’ permission for any kids’ data collection and strictly bans the way of usage and storage of thus collected information.
However, a large number of kids violates the law by opening accounts stating their false age.
