GASIC: Krusik to export ammunition to Azerbaijan

The Minister of Defense, Bratislav Gasic has confirmed today for Danas that during the official visit to Azerbaijan, he will sign the contract with their Minister of Defense which will enable Valjevo-based Krusik ammunition export to this country. According to him, ore details of the contract will be known when he gets back to the country.

Duirng a two-day visit, Gasic met the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Alijev, the Prime Minister, Artur Rasi-Zade, the Minister for Defense Industry, Javer Jamal and the Minister of Defense, Zakir Hasanov.

The Ministry of Defense announced that, taking into an account developed capacity of the special purpose industry of Serbia, Gasic and Hasanov estimated it is possible to develop and expand transfer of technologies, ammunition and military equipment.

- The two ministers agreed there is a realistic basis for improvement of bilateral military cooperation for which the general legal framework was created in February through signing the contract on cooperation in the defense field. The focus is military-economical cooperation and participation at multinational exercises as well as development of military-education and military-medical cooperation – it was stated in the announcement of the Ministry of Defense.
