Tigar is the biggest exporter – Company from the south of Serbia generated foreign exchange of USD 821 mil in H1 2014
Companies operating at Nis, Pirot and Toplice regions
managed to generate foreign exchange result with the world totaling USD 821 mil.
According to data of the Nis Chamber of Commerce, it is 152 mil or 23% more
compared to the same period last year.
- These regions generated positive balance in exchange with foreign countries
since export totaled 463 mil and import USD 358 mil. Compared to last year,
export increased for USD 55 mil USD or 26%, while import went up for 53,8 mil or
18% - the secretary of the Board for economic relations with foreign countries
of the Nis Chamber of Commerce, Vladan
Stanojevic.
According to him, exporters’ list comprises 367 firms and importers’ one 583 but the official statistics does not comprise
companies and entrepreneurs whose export
was lower than USD 10.000.
- Just like many years before, Tigar is
the biggest exporter in Nis, Pirot and Toplice region with the total export stake
of 35%. Prokuplje-based Leoni, Nis-based Philip Morris and Aleksinac-based Grammer
follow. These four companies are undoubtedly biggest importers as well –
Stanojevic said.
In 1H, companies operating at Nis, Pirot and Toplice regions exported most of products to Germany, Russia and Italy.
Turkey and China whose products are the most present at current markets and boutiques are fourth i.e. eight ranked when it comes to import value.
In total foreign exchange result of our country, companies operating at Nis, Pirot and Toplice region participate with only 4,5%, i.e. 5,9% in export and 3,4% in import since total foreign exchange in 1H totaled RSD , 18,2 billion, export RSD 7,7 billion and import 10,5 billion.
