0,05 mg aflatoxin in every milk by the end of 2014
- At the moment, 77% of the milk has got such quality, and it is extremely important to us, that the remaining twenty percent achieves this standard - she said in an interview with today's "Politika."
As an interim solution, with fixed-term duration, there is a new ordinance that is now in force and which permits 0,25 level of aflatoxin, stated Minister after being reminded that there was first a reduction and then an increase in the permitted level of aflatoxin in milk.
- When I became Minister, there was a regulation that allowed afaktoksina level of 0.5 milligrams per kilogram of milk. Previous Minister passed a new rule in April, by which the permitted levels of aflatoxin amounts to 0.05, but that was due to come into force on 1 July - said Bogosavljević-Boskovic.
She added that it was an ambitious plan to get the full effect of the amended Ordinance on the quality of animal feed reached on the content of aflatoxin in milk in just three months.
- We made a new decision with a prior approval of the Institute for Public Health "Dr Milan Jovanovic Trampoline" and the Ministry of Health. After all, Regulations are much stricter now than that which was in effect until July 1 - said the Minister.
- Our goal remains to have 0.05 milligrams and we are doing our best to achieve that as soon as possible - said Bogosavljević-Boskovic.
