The Kosovo Infrastructure Ministry signed a USD 820 million agreement yesterday (1 July 2014) with the American-Turkish consortium Behtel-Enka on the construction of 60-kilometer highway connecting the province of Kosovo and Metohia with Macedonia, the Ministry announced in a release.

Construction works should commence today (2 July 2014), AP Prishtina has reported.
This is the second agreement this consortium has signed in Kosovo after signing a billion US dollar worth of agreement in 2010 to build a highway between Kosovo-Metohia and Albania. Construction of this highway was completed in 2013.

The Behtel-Enka consortium is made up of the Behtel International company that is headquartered in San Francisco, California and Istanbul-based Enka.
