Belgrade City Manager Goran Vesic stated Sunday that over RSD 50 million had been poured into the city budget since the introduction of wheel clamps for negligently parked cars with foreign license plates.

– Now we can proudly say that it took us only few months to have more than RSD 50 million paid to the city budget thanks to wheel clamps. Also, the number of daily parking tickets grew by over 2,000, meaning that people who drive cars with foreign license plates are now paying for the parking too - Vesic pointed out.

As he stressed, there are days now when Parking Servis does not give any penalty for wrong parking of cars with foreign license plates.

– That is the best proof that the order can be established, that there is enough room for parking, and that the rules apply to all people living in this city, regardless of whether their car has license plates from Serbia or some other country - the city manager underlined.
